Cetec Bandmill
Cetec Bandmills combine the considerable field and saw mill design experience of Comact's engineering group with the latest high tech controls. This has resulted in an ultra-sensitive strain system with automatic saw tracking control plus an unusually compact double column framefor close coupled multi-band applications.
The Cetec/Comact range of bandmills has been designed from day one to be trouble free and simple to maintain. The same basic machine can be supplied in any configuration - vertical, tilt or horizontal. This configuration can be changed at any time, for example, converting a horizontal resaw into a vertical headrig. This modular approach allows use of the same saw and interchangeable spare parts from machine to machine.
Features
Steel wheels/double column frame
Careful bearing selection, avoiding critical speed frequencies, has been combined with the most compact double column frame in the industry to provide an ideally balanced, vibration free machine. High strength fabricated steel wheels, statically and dynamically balanced.
Fast response high strain
utilising state of the art hydraulics and ultra sensitive servo valves, the high strain system offers an unsurpassed combination of response and damping characteristics. Both are equally important in the operation and protection of thin kerf saws. The system is closed loop, self-compensating and fully automatic.
Auto saw tracking/remote tilt
Precision sensors continuously monitor the position of the sawblade on the wheel tilt to keep the blade precisely on track. If required the system can be switched to manual mode, allowing remote operator control of the wheel tilt, a big safety plus.
Thin kerf/high feed speed
The Cetec/Comact bandmills have been designed to meet the highest standards in terms of thin kerf and high feed speeds. These machines provide the answer to the search for ever higher recovery, more product from less raw material.
Extra large throat opening
In many cases the extra falldown and throat room offered by these machines allows them to do the work of what traditionally would require a much larger machine.
For example the 31" (797mm) opening on the Cetec 60" bandmill matches that offered by conventional 72" machines.
