Mobile Sleeper Saw


After winning several contracts with Australian Rail Track Corporation, Access Recycling required a mobile sawmill to cut sleepers for firewood. With the assistance of the Design team from Acora Reneco, a multi- saw docking system and feed deck was designed and built in the factory in Eden.

The saw is now processing 400 sleepers per hour. A series of optical sensors and computer automation ensures a smooth operation. Each sleeper is docked into nine pieces making the recycled timber suitable for domestic firewood.
