The Gilbert Curve Gang Saw incorporates extensive use of proven technology with an innovative infeed system and modular design. It provides high recovery at high speed with minimal gap requirements.
The Curve Gang has a choice of drum style or conical style chipping heads, with full taper and half taper sawing capability. It is simple and efficient as well as low-maintenance, and has an extremely small footprint.
The Gilbert Board Edger provides superior grade timber in a single pass. The spac ing of the three heads, very close together, allows you to work with fragile timber which other manufacturers would have you down-grade to chipper stock.
The Edger has feed speeds of up to 350mpm. The upper feed rolls are activated pneumatically by airbags, are independent of the Edger and are powered by heavy duty rollers and gear belts ensuring maintenance free operation.
Clever use of parts in this operation means that a majority of the system is the same as the Gilbert Planers, reducing the number of spare parts that need to be held. Innovative design means that the wood can be seen as it goes through the Edger.
