 Optimally Turned
TiMBERTURN by MiCROTEC is an intelligent system for optimal log turning due to an optical position recognition device. The system installed prior to TiMBERTURN is a 3D log measuring device like DiSHAPE, which records and shows an image of the exact log profile.
TiMBERTURN takes the log after it has been measured, together with all calculated log data that is needed to position the log in the optimal manner for sawing. Depending on the curve, ovality or the specified cutting diagram, TiMBERTURN controls the turning rollers in order to bring the log into the optimal position.
