 Springer timber systems efficiently sort, stack and package your sawn timber. Productivity and careful handling of materials are important to them. Springer offers the right line configuration for your needs, from the basic Unipak unit to high-speed sorting lines.
Springer timber lines are used directly downstream of the sawmill as a pre-sorting unit or after the wood drier as a post-sorting unit.
Springer has the appropriate solutions for the pre-sorting of green centre and side boards directly downstream of the saw line. A number of sorting systems are available such as single-board layer trays for the damage-free conveying of centre boards or, for side boards, horizontal or inclined multiple-board-layer trays or lifting-fork bins in the event of a wide range of timber types.
For sorting the sawn timber directly after drying, a combination of pre-sorting from the saw mill and post-sorting of the seasoned package is also a common, cost-effective solution, particularly for small to medium-sized operations.
Sorting Lines
Springer have developed a range of sorting systems to meet your individual requirements:

- Tilting bins 30° or 21°
- Tray sorting as a single-board solution for extremely careful material handling
- Unloading systems
- Tray-sorting units as a single-board solution are used, for instance, in high-speed planing mills. Fitted with special chains and plastic guides, damage to the planed surface is avoided.
