Lucidyne

timber manufacturing industry.
Lucidyne’s control systems are designed to upgrade existing operations
with the convenience and flexibility of an Allen-Bradley PLC-based system. Each
control system is customized to fill the current and future needs of a mill,
from sort combinations to diagnostic functions.
Lucidyne’s Sorter Control System allows sorting mixed lengths, widths and
grades in a single bin. Percentages of these parameters can be set to develop
a specific mix of items within a load. Other options are also available. They
include a “Dimension Quality” sorting option that is based on exact
width and thickness tolerances rather than general width and thickness classes.
The Control System includes a modem for troubleshooting support. PLC programming software is installed on the control PC which enables Lucidyne to provide a mill with remote support.
Standard Management Information System (MIS) package includes the following:
Brief and detailed tally reports; Shift, weekly, and monthly reports; Downtime and Diagnostic reports; Trim loss vs. input length; Grade recovery vs. trim loss; Sort combinations can include length, width, thickness, grade, weight, species, and production code; Real-time video with local operator input; Sort tables are entered via menu-driven computer interface; Data can be entered interactively and sort tables changed on-line
