This method offers a means where a load can be placed on a fixed bunk or on a short power rollcase. The saw moves over the package and is positioned for cutting. Vertical load positioning posts provide an accurate means of squaring and short-cut loads can be easily removed out the end of the rollcase (end or sideways load pickup available). The saw is powered by an electric ‘Vector’ drive which provides a smooth variable speed control and offers a means of length measurement. The travelling saw can be designed into long systems where two or more loads are placed and the saw moves over them to cut lengths as required. The operator’s console can be attached to the saw to allow them to move with the saw. System Includes:
- 20hp hydraulic system with two section reservoir one side houses system fluid for the hydraulic circuit, the other side houses a large capacity tank for chain bar lubrication.
- Variable flow oil lubrication pump
- Vertically guided chain saw housings with cam followers and steel tracks
- Plastic side guide pads for additional saw bar guiding
- Balanced hydraulic forces on the chain bar speed and pressure
- Rigid backing bar on chain adds stiffness
- Operators platform with electrical console raises the operator to a height for optimum viewing angle
- Electrical controls with motor starter and function buttons pre-wired and shop tested
