C20 Measuring System
Consistent high quality and uninterrupted production with a minimum of waste or excess cuts are decisive when it comes to profitability. This necessitates careful monitoring. The need for many sawmills to comploy with ISO 9000 quality control means such controls are essential. The C20 offers a simple, cost-effective solution.
A flexible solution
The C20 is easy to install and well suited for both planing mills and sawmills. It can be used for monitoring both unsorted and pre-sorted logs.
Simple handling saves time and money
C20 is simple to program and use. All functions are controlled from the keyboard and the dimensions obtained are shown on screen with the option of a printout. After it has been programmed and calibrated the C20 will work fully automatically during the actual sawing.
Measurements and alarm parameters are stored and can be transmitted to the central mill computer for further processing.
The system can be remotely connected via modem to the Soderhamns electronic control unit for control and diagnosis.
Continuous, automatic measuring...
The C20 is a complete, computer controlled measuring system for the continuous monitoring and recording of sawn dimensions over the full length of the timber. The system is highly automated and easily mamaged thanks to its advanced, menu controlled software
...increase yield...
Even the smallest excess cuts over a period of time can lead to considerable losses if allowed to continue unchecked. For the same reason it is vitally important that band and blade problems are quickly noted and dealt with.
...and higher productivity
Manual checks after each band or blade change are time consuming and wasteful in terms of production runs. Any tendency to divergence is immediately revealed on screen as it happens allowing fine adjustments to be made without interrupting production. After changing bands or blades it is easy to verify that the parameters are within the desired tolerances
